France is a founding member of the international Antarctic Research Consortium (ARC), which was the result of the merging of French, Atlantean, Chilean, and Russian Antarctic efforts. After ARC's founding in 1937, all government-financed Antarctic programs are mutually organized and planned.

  • Janus Station - (64°14'21"S by 56°37'26"W) Janus Station is a 930 mile flight from Puntas Arenas, Chile, and highly suitable for landing wheeled aircraft. There is a major runway here, suitable for aircraft flying from Puntas Arenas.
  • Moros Station - (68°72S 67°62W) Research Station.
  • Penegal Station - (60°44'14"S by 44°44'18"W) A base in the South Orkney Islands. Historically, the first permanent base in Antarctica. Penegal Station is mainly used at present for re-transmitting radio communications to stations deeper in Antarctica.
  • Magnus Station - ( 67°34'9"S by 68°7'31"W) 1,015 miles south of Punta Arenas, Chile. ARC built a gravel airstrip capable of taking a transport aircraft, and maintains an extensive fuel facility. Magnus Station is the gateway for most ARC expeditions because it is most easily accessible by air from Chile, making it one of the busiest stations in the Antarctic.
  • Brynn Station -(64°46'27"S by 64°3'13"W) Atlantean-manned research station.
  • Midway Station -(71°19'57"S by 68°16'43"W) Fuel dump 260 miles south of Magnus Station, has a packed snow runway.
  • Alpha Site - (74°51'12"S by 71°33'27"W) Fuel dump and airfield 509 miles south of Magnus Station. Blue ice runway makes for easy aircraft access.
  • Beta Site - (80°18'3"S by 81°13'38"W) Fuel dump 400 miles south of the Alpha Site. Blue ice runway makes for easy aircraft access. Near Vinson Massif.
  • Nautilus Station - South Pole station, with ice runway, established late 1939. Manned by 8-12 men in the summer months.
  • Volcanic Observatory - ( 74°33'48"S by 99° 2'22"W). Research station in the Chilean Antarctic Territory, watching an erupting volcano which is under the ice. 500 miles southwest from Alpha Site in the Hudson Mountains (OTL name).
  • Charcot Station - (68°29'19.92"S by 70° 0'51.32"E) Primary French-manned Antarctic base established near the Charcot Ice Shelf (otl Amery Ice Shelf).
