Força Aérea Brasileira Aircraft

Aircraft of the Força Aérea Brasileira by year.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

List of Aircraft in service

Fighters

EMB-F41 Furacão (Tornado): The latest offering in EMBEAR's line of radial-engined fighter aircraft, it is the best fighter in the Força Aérea Brasileira's inventory. Fewer were purchased then initially planed due to alterations EMBEAR planed to make that would improve performance.

EMB-F39 Ciclone (Cyclone): The most numerous fighter in the Força Aérea Brasileira's arsenal, this fighter is beginning to show its age against more modern types. EMB-F38 Garanhão (Stallion): The oldest fighter currently in active front line service, this type was scheduled to be replaced by the Furacão, but EMBEAR's insistence on modifying that type lead to replacement being delayed until the upgraded model was ready. Heavy Fighters

DH-01 Vespão (Hornet): The only aircraft of its type in service, this British design was purchased to give the Força Aérea Brasileira a fast and modern fighter capable of conducting a varity of missions. Ju-01 (Ju-88): This German bomber was purchased in 1940 as a replacement for the myriad of older types in service at the time. It has since become a pivotal part of the Força Aérea Brasileira's strike capabilities.

AW-01 Whitley: This type is an older British aircraft that served as the primary strike craft for several years. Expected to be relegated to secondary roles as the BB-01 and Ju-01 enter full service.
