Small arms are composed primarily of secondhand French Lebel rifles, German G98 Mausers, and Russian Mosin-Nagant rifles. Machineguns are composed of French MAC M. 1924s or Lewis guns. (In short, the Azerbaijani supply corps has nightmares of trying to supply ammo for all their units.)

Rifles in service and storage:
- 130,000 Mosin-Nagants (in service, standard)
- 25,000 Mausers (in storage for first activated reserves), multiple nationalities of manufacture)
- 45,000 Lebels (in storage for second activated reserves, low ammo supply)
- 71,000 rifles of other assorted types

The 2/2 Division has a large number of trucks, artillery tractors, machinegun carriers, and some tankettes. Assault guns, tank hunters, and tanks are on order from Russia and Atlantis. Mauser Antitank rifles and antitank mines are distributed to all units.

Azerbaijan sends many of its officers for education in Persia and Turkey, although recent Persian rhetoric and civil war has resulted in officers instead going for training exclusively in Russia and Turkey.

Rifle Brigades and Mounted Rifle Brigades are identical, but Mounted Rifle Brigades have horses.
