Note that you'll have to trim the displacement down a few tonnes to benefit from that 0.9 HS.

It seems to be a very ambitious amount of stuff being put in that hull - Oyodo had fewer seaplanes and a similar armament on 33% more tonnage. This might well be an issue with other seaplane cruisers we've seen, I suppose, haven't looked at them recently.

Operationally - what's the intent?

Hmm... do you think there's enough space, with just the one turret removed?

Other than that I like this ship a lot.

I think 9 aircraft is pushing things;

Similar size Götland has 6 aircraft maximum and no hangar to put them in.

If you want floatplane capability go for the historical HMAS Albatros

Double decker parking?

I see the problem, going to 1932 increases the displacement. I guess Ill stick with the older engines then, that will reduce misc tonnage to 200tons meaning less AC. I would say 5 AC plus catapult.

Her role is to be a strategic scout. During the recent pirate hunt, one factor was the lack of planes. Venganza was able to hide for nearly a month. This ship would help by providing extra scouts.

Double decker parking?

Would that actually work?

BTW, thanks Gavin for showing the Götland. I kinda like the ship. :-)

Speaking of the Oyodo...
I used Oyodo's data for this 1932 version of the ship. For a few moments I was thinking of adding torpedoes, like the HMAS Freemantle, but when looking at the picture, I wasn't too sure that adding torpedo launchers would work. Maybe with a deck over the launchers like some of the IJN Heavy Cruisers but in the end I decided to stick fairly close to the original data.
