I know you did. Long live speed! :-)
I added it to the list because the cross sectional was below 0.50 but I was aware that you accepted that structural weakness of the ship in order to get the fastest simmed ship.

Medniy

That was my attempt to sim an MTB.

Didn't work too well.

I thought it was better to ignore that. :-)

There is an awefull lot editing thats been done, I suppose to correct flaws. Some designs are also converted from older springstyle files.

I'm going to modify the H class ships but the Basillone and Admiralty Type 2 class ships will stay the same, they were definately designed before we cracked down on the CS hull strength. They are also 35 knot designs.

Well, you could keep H class as it is but accept the fact that it has a weaker hull just as the Italian Bari has.

I suppose I could but then this 2 page discussion would be a waste of time wouldn't it?

Maybe, but I don't think it is boring to waste time on this discussion.
^_^
Besides, if you mention to us that you keep the H-class as it is, the result would be that we know that you are aware of the low x-sectional HS and that you accept the weakness of the hull that comes with it... so the two pages of discussing this would not have been in vain.

I knew about the hull strength issue about 10 posts ago....

Just use it as an interesting storyline. One of your new destroyers suddenly breaks and what is done about it...

I suppose that could be done, but droping the speed by .22 knots brought the CS up to 0.50, a minor fix.

Wow, so with this and the Memnon belt length we'd have some blood on the carpet in the Atlantian navy's design office. ; )

Cheers,

Interesting... Does Atlantis have some kind of ancient arena where it can hold the special occasion (something like the Colliseum)?
