Atlantis Q4/29

*to be revised if nessassary*
Notes: Corrections made to AC's Cape Verde and Venezuela tonnage usage for their refits, "Tonnage needed" was used to determine how much tonnage was yet to be added to complete their rebuilds and not the total tonnage needed to complete the entire project as is now standard practice in my reports. 4,800 tons is still needed.

A. Industrial Allocation

18/30 factories (non fixed) to naval materials: 18,000 tons created for Q4/1929 plus 992 tons stockpiled from Q3/29 plus 2,045 tons transfered from Chile in Q4/1929 for 21,037 total tons.

20,813 tons used for ship building(18,768 for local builds, 2,045 for foriegn builds), 224 tons stockpiled for next quarter.

10/30 factories (fixed) to infrastructure development: 1.0 points for Q3/1929 + 1.0 bonus IP's
2/30 factorys (non-fixed) to infrastructure development: 0.2 points for Q3/1929

Deal with Chile for a trio of "light cruisers" with the potential for a pair of "heavy cruisers" based on the same hull. One payment of 1,830 tons and one payment of 957 tons of material transfered to Atlantis for the building of "light cruisers" CL-6 Atacama and CL-7. Second ship of this class building in Chile.

0.4 IP's transfered to Turkey from Atlantis as part of territorial concessions to Byzantium, total to be transfered 6.8 IP's to pay for one Type 3 drydock (4 IP's), one type 1 drydock (2 IP's) and one factory with 0.8 IP's used in Istambul/Constantinople Two type 0 slips upgrading to type 1 slips are to remain in Turkish hands as they are built on eastern shore of the Bosperous, remaining infrastructure is on western shore and as such will become part of Byzantium.

12 type 1 subchasers transfered to Byzantium from Atlantis

E. Other Notes

AC's Cape Verde and Venezuela converting to gunnery training ships, conversions resumed

OOC: Polar exploration vessel project taken over by private owner, will launch once 60% complete to free up yard space, funds are no longer from navy but will be listed to show building progress.

Where's the stats for Adventure again?

It will be interesting to see the updates on Byzantine politics. :-P

5

Monday, January 30th 2006, 8:04pm

I'm not sure, I beleive they are attached to the Q1/29 report, I'll have to look.

As for Byzantium it will be a bit before they start talking with an independant voice (once I determine the temperment of that voice).

Here she is, allthough in private hands she would not have her armament installed nor her catipults.

The A.N.S. Adventure is an exploration vessel designed to serve in the harsh Arctic conditions, being able to traverse long distances and act as an Ice breaker. Her primary area of service will be the Larson and Ronne shelf regions of the Atlantian Arctic territory.

Why no catapaults on the civillian ship?

8

Monday, January 30th 2006, 11:41pm

Yeah, I would expect even a civilian exploration ship to carry an aircraft; my Orca-class whale factories have a 'cat in the Government Furnished Equipment category.

Odd, OT thought: how about cats on a hospital ship for air-sea rescue aircraft (He 59s)?

9

Tuesday, January 31st 2006, 1:51am

Were He59s ever catapault-launched?

Certainly some civillian ships had cats during the inter-war years, they were used to speed up mail deliveries on some of the inter-war German liners.

10

Tuesday, January 31st 2006, 6:20am

Well they may keep em, I didn't realize civilian ships had used them in peacetime.

Were He 59s ever catapault-launched?

If not historically, they will be soon. ;-)
