An experimental hydrofoil, I expect?

New coast guns? Or turrets for a future ship project?

It'll be in the news, but the Italian government has just taken over the work of private individuals who have sadly passed away. Forlanini, the inventor of the world's first hydrofoil on Lago Maggiore in 1900s sadly passed away from age in 1929. Generale Giudoni, a more noted inventor, creator of the world's first torpedo-carrying aircraft, catamaran aircraft carriers, airships and a lot more also died, but in different circumstances. His parachute failed to open whilst soliciting the RE for his idea of paratroops.

New coast guns?

They'd come in extremely useful for guarding certain areas.

A Hydrofoil?

I thought that was obvious from this;

I missed that eariler, but I was just wondering if that concept has come about yet in hydrodynamics?

First flight from Forlanini in 1900s. Giudoni kept experimenting with the idea in Italy until he died. Alexander Graham Bell set a new water speed record of 71mph in 1919. The problem at the moment is that its not possible to use sonar wave prediction like Spaviero. Its not really possible to platform in heavy weather in 1929 and the simpler Vee-foil that was used had some serious problems in a following sea. I'll still test the idea.

Impressive research, RA

You bring a lot of technical knowlege to this sim.

Thanks. I did a bit of background reading to see whether it was feasible or not.
