In the Chinese fishing fleet there are, in addition to countless different fishing boats, three different classes of fish trawlers:

small size vessels (approx. 300tons disp.) => Zunyu - Class

medium size vessels (approx. 500tons disp.) => Haitun - Class

large size vessels (approx. 1000 tons disp.) => Hujing - Class


Notes:
All trawlers were built to civilian standard and by civilian shipyards. If, in case of war, a use be made within the navy, a corresponding conversion must then be made.

The Shuizuxiang-Class is a special type of vessel for transportation of live fish, especially for salmon. This vessel type is used in aquaculture for transporting the fish stock from farm to factory. A live fish carrier is equipped with tanks or wells for the storage of fish during transportation. The fish stock is pumped from the farm site and onto the vessel and again from the tanks and into the processing factory.
