US Army Organization - Battery

US Field Artillery Battery, 105mm Howitzer, Truck Drawn

The standard 105mm field battery of the early 1940's

Composition

1 Headquarters Platoon - 6 men (1 officer, 2 NCO's, 3 EM).

1 Battery Detail - 32 men (1 officer, 2 NCO's, 29 EM), 1 motorcycle w/sidecar, 2 1/2 ton trucks, 3 2 1/2 ton trucks.

1 Firing Battery - 67 men (2 officers, 5 NCO's, 60 EM), 7 2 1/2 ton trucks, 2 1 ton trailers, 2 HMG (.50 cal), 4 105mm howitzers.

1 Maintenance Squad - 15 men (3 NCO's, 12 EM), 3 2 1/2 ton trucks, 1 1 ton trailer.

Total - 120 men, 1 motorcycle w/sidecar, 2 1/2 ton trucks, 13 2 1/2 ton trucks, 3 ton trailers, 2 HMG (.50 cal), 4 105mm howitzers.
