G. Miscellaneous Works

Conversion of HMS Revenge into a gunnery training ship and life extension work. Work includes fitting of search and gunnery radio-location sets (one Type 272, two Type 284, two Type 282 and one Type 285), addition of four twin 4.5in DP mounts, removal of all casemates and plated over flush with hull sides, new light AA fit, elevation of 15in guns increased to 30 degrees, new directors and fire-control systems and new messes and education spaces for cadets. 25% refit = 6,574 tons total cost and 9 months total time. 2,192 tons this quarter for a total of 6,574 tons

HMS Gibraltar and Gladiator refitted with four twin 4in mounts, two octuple 2pdr mounts and two sextuple .661in HMG mounts removing all the current single mounts and 20mm guns. Type 271 aerial search and Type 281 Gunnery Director added and refurbishment of internal fittings for life-extension purposes. 25% refit = 1876 tons per ship taking 4 months, 1407 tons spent on each ship this quarter totalling 2814 tons.
