DAF Eagle IDV aircraft
I work to update Peruvian Airforce.
I have found on your airforce the different aircrafts.
( Italian, British, Japanese...).
But were is DAF Eagle IDV ???
Thanks
Jef
The DAF Eagle IDV is a Danish aircraft, DAF being a Wesworld Danish aircraft manufacturer and I assumed supplied to Peru via Iberia.
See here for the 1941 update of the Peruvian Air Force.
To the best of my knowledge, no specifications for the DAF Eagle ever exist or were posted on the forum: just a drawing put together in large part by Vukovlad. Vuk might have the drawing, since it's no longer on Commodore Green's image host. IIRC, the Eagle is a technical equivalent to the B-26 Marauder. If someone can find the old image, I can probably work out some real-ish specs.
Ah, my memory seems to remember a 'kitbash' drawing CG did based on an Il-28 drawing with propeller engines. I'm sure that was the Eagle. It was generally felt to 'look' too advanced with using the Il-28 drawing as a basis. It was a smart looking aircraft though and I seem to remember a blue and green colonial naval-strike colour scheme too.

Yes, that was the one. I think Vuk did the drawing, though.

Yes; I am pretty certain that Vukovlad did the drawing; it might even be in the Non WW folder somewhere; but I never recall seeing stats, and I agree with Hood that for the timeframe it looked very advanced. For 1944, somewhat less so, as it had the feel of an IL-28 crossed with a Douglas A-26.
Found these, a series of base drawings on one page (CG's coloured version is gone) and an improved ground-attack version.

Do you have any information on the specifications or performance of this aircraft, or the numbers in service?
Here are DAF Eagle, essentialy B26 Marauder characteristics.

Somehow I doubt the DAF Eagle would have American engines and armament. Since Iberia and Denmark and Italy were allies, both tended to share engines and equipment. DAF fighters used Iberian Hispano-Suiza engines, its possible the radials CG had in mind were Italian. The machine guns could be Danish Madsens, or perhaps Belgian-sourced Browning FNs.
The engines you are looking for are ether the Alfa-Romeo 136 RC.40 (2000hp) or the Alfa-Romeo 135 RC.40 (1700 hp)
