In Q1, Chile makes the first of two payments to acquire the Nordish battlecruiser Den Norske Løve, to be renamed Santiago. Construction of the large cruiser Constitution continues, along with construction of the first Eyzaguirre-class fleet destroyer. Preparations for two further vessels are underway, with construction set to commence in April.
