With the Odense South Bye-Election today, trading on the Stock Market in Copenhagen is expected to be subdued, as the result will give an indication of how stable the country will be politically.
One company who will have no such nervousness is the newly formed Dansk Flyvemaskine Fabrik A/S.
The Company was floated on the Stock Exchange yesterday, with initial trading in the new company being brisk. Their was no real suprise in this level of trading, as it has come about from a merger of Rohrbach-Metall-Aeroplan Co. A/S of Copenhagen and Kastrup Flyvning Maskine Fabrik of Kastrup.
The new company should show good sustained growth, considering Rohrbach's heavy aircraft knowledge and Kastrup's familiarity with light aircraft.
And to start the new company off, they have announced an order from Iberia for the RoVIII "Roland" passenger aircraft, and an interest in the design from Lufthansa.
At the behest of the Danish Air Force, a military version is in the design stage, and a modern fighter design is currently in the prototype stage.
Things are looking good for the future of Danish aviation, as Herr Rohrbach's Flying Boats take yet more world records. His "Robbe" design has recently captured no less than
5 records for load carrying.
These records are all FAI supervised and regulated, and iinclude.....
1)Speed over 100Km with 500Kg load = 186 km/h
2)Speed over 500Km with 500Kg load = 180 km/h
3)Speed over 100Km with 1000Kg load = 186 km/h
4)Speed over 500Km with 1000Kg load = 180 km/h
5)Distance with 1000kg load = 519 km
The pilot for all of these flights was Rohrback's chief test pilot, Werner Landmann.
