Petrograd Post - 2 April 1925

In a stunning announcement today, Socialist Revolutionary Party has finally announced their candidate for President - Viktor Chernov. Chernov is indeed impressive figure, who was editor of SR Journal Revolutionary Russia, and presided over Constituent Assembly in 1917. It is expected that President Kerensky's high popularity will greatly aid the short campaign of his fellow SR in the election two weeks away. Political commentators express admiration that by this tactic of delaying announcement of the SR candidate, he has avoided much critical analysis and contraversy that has damaged other candidates.
