Russian Federation coast artillery installations are recieving new arms due to decommissioning of several Baltic Fleet predreadnought battleships, and other ships.
Vice-Admiral Ponedelin, commander of Baltic Fleet, remarked "After their long and honorable service on battleships Tsesarevich, Andrei Pervozvanni, Imperator Pavel I, and Slava, and armored cruiser Riurik, these guns will continue to serve our country, defending her coastline. And weapons originally intended for Sviatoslavs will by no means go to waste."
New installations are as follows:

These turrets have been modified to permit elevations of up to 45 degrees, to ensure especially long range fire, up to 26,000 meters for 305mm/40, and 33,200 meters for 234mm/54.
Battery Slava is located near site of coastal batteries that opposed extensive German naval forces during various battles near Gulf of Riga in 1915 and 1916. In conjunction with naval air force, and undoubted Russian Navy skill at mine warfare, approach to Russian Baltic coastline will be hazardous indeed for any enemy.
On possibly related note, rumors of transfer of significant Baltic Fleet warships to French or Atlantean bases persist, but are neither confirmed nor denied by naval authorities.
