G. Miscellaneous Works

HMS Goliath and Griffon refitted with four twin 4in mounts, two octuple 2pdr mounts and two sextuple .661in HMG mounts removing all the current single mounts and 20mm guns. Type 271 aerial search and Type 281 Gunnery Director added and refurbishment of internal fittings for life-extension purposes. 25% refit = 1876 tons per ship taking 4 months, 469 tons spent on each ship this quarter totalling 3,752 tons completed July 1940.

HMS Sussex, London, Devonshire and Cornwall refitted with four twin 3.7in DP mounts, two octuple 2pdr AA mounts and two sextuple .661in HMG mounts alongside two HACS Mk.III. Two triple 24.5in torpedo tubes also fitted and life extension refurbishment of internal fittings. 25% refit = 2392 tons per ship taking four months, 1794 tons this quarter per ship totalling 7,156 tons in total.
