Songsun A-40 V2

The drawing is greatly inspired by the D4Y1, which is one of the most elegant WW-II aircraft in my opinion. I had the drawing in my mind for quite some time and now I finished it, even though I don't have a use for that plane in the Chosen Airforce....

The taper of the aft fuselage seems far too severe. In landing or takeoff aspect the nose would be so high that the pilot would have very little forward vision. Also, the juncture between the fuselage and the empennage seems very small in comparison with the overall size of the aircraft, suggesting a weakness in the structure. It looks too elegant in that regard.

I was very satisfied with the line and the looks of my plane to be honest. After I compared it to some historic planes more closely I must admit you have a very valid point concernig the taper and the weakness of the rear fuselage.
Maybe I am sometimes too much concerned with the planes aesthetics...
I made another version....I think it appears pretty tail-heavy though...
