Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
602 lbs / 273 Kg = 13.0 x 4.5 " / 115 mm shells or 0.3 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.34
Metacentric height 1.8 ft / 0.5 m
Roll period: 11.2 seconds
Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 50 %

Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.03

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has rise forward of midbreak
and transom stern
Block coefficient: 0.403
Length to Beam Ratio: 10.65 : 1

Excellent design and a very nice drawing. =)

Interesting to compare with the Swampy's Piquero class..

1932 || 1933
1,633t || 1,654t
6x115mm || 6x115mm
8x610mm || 6x600mm
33.71knots || 33.26knots

I think the biggest difference is that your guns are simmed as DP weapons, whereas the turrets on the Piqueros have only minimal AA capability.

So you´re going to build some british M-class DDs (HMS MARTIN laid down 23.10.39)? That´s where your darwing came from, right?

I think she´s too slow for a fleet DD, but that´s probably just me. Historically the Ms had machinery capable of producing about 48,000shp.

Her forward RF seems to be a stereoscope-type of German origin. Are you sure it can turn being so close to her main mast?

The drawing is indeed an M class. It was my inspiration and I feel DP is the way to go over the heavy DD Chile is pursuing. She may be slower than some other foreign types but she is no slouch and I was aiming at maximum firepower on the smallest possible hull. I'd hate to be in an aircraft facing the kind of firepower she has (6x115mm 4x37mm 10x20mm).

I think the RF should have enough room to turn.
