Greek Air Transport (G.A.T.)
G.A.T started in 1947 as a joint-operation with Scottish Aviation which owned the 40% of the company while the greek government owned the 60%. From their bases in Scotland, Scottish Airlines trained the greeks crew and the maintenance crew.
With only 2 Avro York and 6 BCAC VC.1 Viking, G.A.T. knew from the beginning that their competence outnumber them. To counter this G.A.T. relayed in their range to publisite himself
aking more travels than T.A.E. in the same amount of time taking advantage of the Avro York. Now the two airlines are competing in the Europe, having both air travels to the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Iberia, Egypt, Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland, Turkey, Romania and Atlantis. This great amount of destinies in comparison with their relative lack of planes force the company to utilize more crew to allow the planes to fly all the day as well to make rotatory turns to mechanic revisions.
Now the two companies are aiming to get green light to expand to the Russian market.
