Problems connecting to the boards...
Gentlemen,
I know some of you had problems connecting to the boards lately, resulting finally in several error warnings yesterday between 8pm and 12pm CET.
Reason for all this trouble was a break-down of several servers on providers side. Testpilot just told me that things should be okay again now and hopefully no data is lost.
Thanks for your patience,
HoOmAn
I noticed the connection problems while I was accessing the forums. Good to know I wasn't the only one having problems.
There still seems to be a few errors occuring though....
I just got an error warning myself. No idea if this is an aftereffect of the crash yesterday or something new. I send an email to our host and hopefully he´ll check things out.
Do we have any backups in case we loose the board? In a worst case scenario I can probably rebuild my encyclopedia pretty quickly, and I've got my reports and such on my PC.
I have a back-up made last week including all text files but probably not all user information etc. i´ve got to check once back home.
I've been having lots of trouble as well.
I should probably start making backups of Swampy's stuff.. erk!
Ditto, will start to try and personally backup back issues of the mankurrien (Peng's News item) which will go back into print shortly. Everything I've posted in my Encyclopedia is already on my laptop so I've got a backup of it.
If nothing else, having the older editions of Mankurrien around will help me find more news fodder.
PM was working during that time...
... more or less. :-)
