I have absolutely no idea whether you have given us the specs for these ships or not, but its confused me.

I haven't asigned names as yet - just numbers. Still mulling over that aspect.

I'm still working with my spreadsheet and trying to improve the output.

I think all the ships have designs posted under the design section but my encyclopedia is incomplete. The only one that could be lacking is the seaplane carrier AC-3 but I did discus it in a thread.

I've organised it around ship sizes rather than yards but I'll include all the info required inc expected enter service. I found I was making errors transposing my spreadsheet to my report so I thought this would be an improvement.

I'll do what I can to improve things.

Cheers,

A wonderful ship. More or less what I was tickering with too. Would Greece sell the plans?

How many planes do you think she can carry? Where to place all those light guns?

Regarding the drawing, could it be that there is some japanese influence here? The superstructure seems to be along the lines of late-war japanese carriers... In general the ship seems somewhat influenced by those japanese AVs (Shitose etc.) build in the 1930s (and some later re-build as carriers).

Definately and odd and very interesting design.
What classification would she fall into under the CT rules?

Presumably part G, I, (c)...

Yes, part G, I, (c)
---
(c) Naval surface vessels not specifically built as fighting ships
which are employed on fleet duties or as troop transports or in
some other way than as fighting ships, provided they have none of
the following characteristics:
(1) Mount a gun above 6 inch (153 mm) calibre;
(2) Mount more than four guns above 3 inch (76 mm) calibre;
(3) Are designed or fitted to launch torpedoes:
(4) Are designed for a speed greater than 20 knots;
(5) Are protected by armour plate on the hull;
(6) Are designed or fitted to launch mines;
(7) Are fitted to receive aircraft on board from the air;
(8) Mount more than one aircraft-launching apparatus on the
centre line; or two, one on each broadside;
(9) If fitted with any means of launching aircraft into the air,
are designed or adapted to operate at sea more than ten
aircraft.
---

So she carries 10 aircraft but the need is for a mobile seaplane base so there is workshops, accomodation, fuel, stores etc. The 6" guns are the same as the escort crusier and I think I'll cut down on the light guns.

The design shares a great deal with the with the carrier also under construction, they are twinned in many ways. They are closer in concept to the US style of AV (large tender) rather than the Japanese (seaplane carrier) role although they do look similar to the IJN ships.

Cheers,

Another beautifull design! One thing I'm unsure about is your lifeboat layout, your midship boats look incredibly crowded in their little alcoves.

A little different but the features are on par for mid 20's design ideas and Greece has an experimental carrier to learn on. The slots for the boats are 7ft high and fit in under the hangar deck floor.
