Travelling...

I'm going up north Monday, and coming back Friday. My access to the 'net might or might not be reduced. I never can tell.

On the Treaty front, I have no new proposals. The outcome of discussions on German and Australian limits is still of interest; I think any changes to Parts 2 or 3 are dead in the water, and am satisfied that Part 4 is fine at the moment.

Since I will be spending a fair bit of time either flying or hanging out in the department's staff house, I've decided to try and tackle a timeline of the Great War, drawing on several threads here. Perhaps a draft will be prepared in time for next weekend. Perhaps I will go stark raving mad instead. Hard to say.

Even if you do not work on that draft, all that Northern Whiteness be enough to do that to a person.

"Oh, the whiteness! The whiteness!!"
^_^

..."if I could start over" I'd have you have Admiral Spee get interned in Manila, giving me a few nice ACs, but I can't so I won't. :-)

Have fun...and beware of the polar bears.
(Do you wish a Filipino penguin escort? XD)

Even the Southern Whiteness can drive one insane.
Got a taste of that on the Abbot Ridge Trail in Glacier National Park (British Columbia).
First it is nice. An hour later it is really annoying, and another hour later, you're cursing at the snow.

After seven years of living in the Arctic, I think I'll survive five days without losing my marbles. It'll have the added benefit of helping me appreciate the cool fall weather here.

The snow might not do it, but the threads of history might.

Hope you enjoy it.
