Oh, yes. The Central Pacific wastes are not to be travelled lightly...

Quoted

Pirates,

Sviatoslavs pack 12x210mm. Not a problem.

Quoted

Typhoons,

They're good seaboats, and the experience would be invaluable training.

...Kongos.

Sviatoslavs make 31 knots. With that kind of incentive, they might do 32.5-33 on a smooth sea.

There are always radioactive fire-breathing monsters, perhaps Mr. Tesla was experimenting on a gecko while living in Colorado and it escaped, eventually reached the Colorado River, swam out into the Gulf of California and into the Pacific, crossed the Pacific, and is now living off the coast of the Philippines. Or not.

Papeete Post - 12 March 1928

Russian 5th Cruiser Squadron arrived in port today, after a long voyage from Cam Ranh Bay. The crews have been granted 3 days liberty. the commander of 5th Cruiser Squadron, Rear-Admiral Grigory Andreivich Ivanov, has remarked that after his men have enjoyed their new environs, his unit will spend two weeks exercising with French units in Polynesia. "I am especially interested in excercises with French 3nd Cruiser Squadron. Suffren class cruisers are quite fast, and Rear Admiral Leveque is a skilled tactician, so we will see if my Sviatoslavs will be able to counter them."

Why do you think 5th Cruiser Squadron cleared out of Southeast Asia.

Although Papeete might not be far enough...

We just might see how well Sviatoslavs and Suffrens work as surfboards!
