Busy, busy here...so not as much news as the past few Q's
Decided to post this in two or three parts...easier to keep up that way. :-) Also won't be re-posting news that has appeared elsewhere...
Won't be posting much, if anything, for visits to NPCs on Señor Foreign Minister's European Magical Mystery Tour...with one very notable exception.

Court-Martials!
The curious case of the Pirates of the South China Sea took another twist, as the commanders of all three Filipino ships involved in what has become known in the American press as 'The Groundhog Day Incident' have been arrested and face court-martial!
Capitan Antonio Azuela, commanding officer of the cruiser
Luzon, is charged with "Undue Hazarding of a Filipino Warship", "Failure to Properly Engage an Enemy", and "Failure to Properly Identify a Target" (!!).
Capitan de Corbeta Ramon Santil, of the destroyer escort
Indomido, is charged with "Failure to Properly Engage an Enemy", "Failure to Obey Orders of a Superior Officer", and "Cowardice in the Face of the Enemy".
Capitan de Corbeta Juan Ortega, captian of DE
Insidioso, is facing charges of "Failure to Properly Engage an Enemy", "Failure to Question Possibly Improper Actions of a Superior Officer", and "Cowardice in the Face of the Enemy".
The court-martials are expected to take place sometime next month.

Generale Juan Greco, commander of the Filipino Army, is a very happy man these days.
With the ending of the SALSA rebellion, the former rebels were given an offer they apparently thought they couldn't refuse - joining the Filipino Army.
"Apparently they thought they had to enlist in order to receive amnesty," said Generale Greco. "Of course, I'm not complaining".
The scope of the SALSA effort is staggering. "So far we've had enough people sign up to create
two full divisions from them alone," Generale Greco confirmed. "And we're getting a lot of equipment, as well."
Where are they coming from? "A number of them, I suspect, are not techincally Filipinos at all, but have been brought over from Sabah by their friends. I hear the British have not been quite as...
forgiving as we have been."
Asked what sort of equipment has been turned over, the Generale replied that "a lot of it seems to be really old Iberian stuff that they stashed away and either lost or forgot, or had stolen from them during the liberation period - small artillery pieces, especially. Some other stuff has us more interested, though, however I can't really comment on that."

The first major fruit of the Foreign Minister's European tour has been picked.
In a deal with the Czech government, it was announced today that the Škoda Pilsen company has agreed to a joint venture with the Filipino Government, in which the former will own and operate the under-construction Arsenal de Davao, to produce "medium and heavy artillery" for the Filipino Army and Marina de Filipinas.
While a proposal to establish a similar relationship between one of the new aviation factories and Aero Vochody was not carried out, an order for 36 Aero A.24 bomber aircraft was announced...
