Nagato class rebuild

Hmmmm. Are you really intending a rebuild of a BB in 1936 that includes NO AA weapons heavier than a 50mm? Historically, while she didn't carry a lot of heavy AA and kept the casemate weapons unlike many of her contemporaries, the class was refitted to carry 8 5" AA guns....

I will admit that I never gave that much thought. There should be some space on the ship for the Japanese twin 5" mounts (I was thinking too much about the US 5" which requires more space) and looking at the picture, I could move the catapult and crane to the stern for additional space amidship for a few more mounts.
Will rework the design a bit.

Probably an improvement. They're certainly pretty quick, and quite long-legged.

Range is roughly the same as the original (~100nm more range). Speed is about 0.9 knots more than the original.
The DPs would be at the aft and forward superstructures. I could still move the aircraft equipment aft rearrange things a bit, alter the lower part of the superstructure for a few more twin 5" in the center of the ship...
