Cape Town. After 6 months full of trials a new light cruiser, RSAN Port Gentil, is now ready for her daily duties. The ship will be part of the new formed 2nd Division of the 4th Cruiser Squadron based in Cape Town. The second cruiser for the 2nd Division will be Port Gentils sistership RSAN Bata who needs another 2 weeks of trials in Port Elizabeth. Both units belong to a class of four cruisers named after RSAN Yaoundé, the first ship of the class.

Cape Town. A new torpedoboat was laid down on the 2nd of April on 120m slip #3 in Cape Town. It will take 11 months to complete the ship of which it will stay 5 months on the slip before launched in August. The torpedoboat is another unit of the so called Hound-class named after several dog breeds.

Douala. Repair of battleship RSAN Uruguay makes good progress. The ship has left its dock and will now continue its repairs until it can be send to India who has bought the vessel..

Buenos Aires. Tender RSAN Mossel Bay has finished her trials and is now deployed to the 6th Sloop Flotilla in Cape Town.
