Irish Ships for 1940

While Ireland will continue building the Pooka-class submarines in 1940, aiming to replace all the H-boats, it leaves me a bit of tonnage to work on another project or two.

First, the three ex-Danish sloops of the Airmed-class need a refit. Seems that I plum forgot one of them was shot up, and... well, I neglected to repair it for two years. Moreover, as they're now sixteen years old, they'll be over our reinstated gentleman's rules for refits, so it's probably time. Additionally, the LE Connacht will be modified to Batch Two specifications (4.5" DP instead of 130mm).

Second, the four refitted Irish S-class destroyers, the so-called Contae-class escorts, are scheduled for replacement by four to eight modern destroyers sometime in the early 1940s. Their replacements will be named... uhm, the Contae class destroyers... :P

Notes:
The County Monaghans are replacements for the County Donegals (ex-British S-class DDs). Miscellaneous weight primarily serves for ASW armament and equipment.

Probably to be laid down sometime in 1940:
Contae Mhuineacháin / County Monaghan
Contae Chill Mhantáin / County Wicklow

Mind that this is still a potential design. The other option available is to build more of the only-slightly-larger 8x4.5"-armed Province-class destroyers.

Don't forget the shell weight of the 4.5in is 45lbs. You might save a tad of weight in SS by revising the shell weight.

Ah, okay. I didn't really fiddle with the weight much, since I like the nice neat number "1,350t" provides.
