I like people having great dreams!
(sorry, couldn´t resist)
I´m not an expert on armies but please take a closer look on this:
"The Australian fleld army has 812,600man
5 corps
25 Independent light Hores Brgades (8,750 ligth tanks)
55 Artillery Brgades (43,560 X18prds 14,410 6”howitzers)
60 Transoport Brgades (900,000 truks)"
Please note: The Australian Field Army has 812.600 men but 900.000 truks. That´s 1,108 truks per man! Am I missing something or is the Australian Field Army in a severe need of drivers !?!?!?! >]
I know Australia is a large country, a small continent to be exact, with a population of 19,910,110 today (see
http://www.abs.gov.au/Ausstats/ABS@.nsf/…63?OpenDocument) and maybe ~15 millions in 1920 but aren´t hundred thousands of guns, tanks, truks etc. are a little bit too much?
How do you PAY for all this stuff? How to man all this or do you have some secret drone-technology or something? You do know that what you list up there is most likely more than what was available all over Europe at the start of WW2?
