The German Ministry of Defence, in conjunction with the German Aero-Industry Association, submits the following in response to the Brazilian Request for Proposal.
Basic Training Aircraft
Bucker Bu181 Bestman - in production as the standard basic training aircraft of the Luftwaffe. Details and specifications can be found
here.
This aircraft is in production at the present time, and initial deliveries, at the rate of eight aircraft per month, can commence within 60 days of contract award - with delivery rates expanding to twelve aircraft per month within six months of contract award. If desired, this aircraft is available for licence manufacture in Brazil - details to be negotiatied if such is desired.
Advanced Training Aircraft
Arado Ar96 - in production as the standard advanced training aircraft of the Luftwaffe. Details and specifications can be found
here.
This aircraft is in production at the present time, and initial deliveries, at the rate of six aircraft per month, can commence within 60 days of contract award - with delivery rates expanding to twelve aircraft per month within six months of contract award. If desired, this aircraft is available for licence manufacture in Brazil - details to be negotiatied if such is desired.
Dive Bomber Aircraft
The German Defence Ministry has available 60 refurbished, low-time Junkers Ju87 dive bombers that are surplus to Luftwaffe requirements. These can be delivered within forty-five days of contract award.
No other aircraft meeting Brazilian specifications for a dive bomber aircraft are in produciton in Germany at the present time.
Medium Bomber Aircraft
The German Defence Ministry has available 60 refurbished, low-time Heinkel He111E medium bomber that are surplus to Luftwaffe requirements. Details on the design and specification of this aircraft can be found
here. These can be delivered within forty-five days of contract award.

The Junkers Ju88A medium bomber is in production and is available for export. Details on the design and specification of this aircraft can be found

If ordered, the first batch of six aircraft could be delivered within 150 days of contract award, with additional batches of six aircraft available per month thereafter.
The Brazilian Air Force may also wish to consider its requirements for twin engine conversion trainiers and for air-crew training aircraft. The Focke Wulf Fw 58, already in FAB service, is available for the former role, and, if desired, the
Siebel Si204 is available to fulfill the latter.
