Rather than send this individually to the nations concerned, here's the proposed schedule and squadron composition for the Nordmarchian South American and South-West African Cruise. Let me know if I've missed any significant ports or if I've made a major error somewhere. I've not done fueling calculations, but the only really long oceanic leg is Cape Town - Rio de Janiero, and that's within grasp of the destroyers if they're filled to deep displacement at Cape Town. If need be, the squadron can fuel at sea from the Sarpsborg.
The squadron will comprise:
HNMS Folkunga Lion - Flagship, Folkunga Lion class battleship
HNMS Dristigheten - Dristigheten class battlecruiser; to be transfered to Chile on Saturday 15 June
HNMS Orn - Orn class aircraft carrier
HNMS Malmö - Falun class heavy cruiser
HNMS Borlänge - Victoriahamn class light cruiser
HNMS 35e - 1935 class Large destroyer
HNMS 38a - 1938 class destroyer
HNMS 38c - 1938 class destroyer
HNMS 37d - 1937 class destroyer
HNMS 37f - 1937 class destroyer
HNMS 35e - 1935 class Large destroyer
HNMS Sarpsborg - Sandefjord class oiler
An additional capital ship (Folkunga Lion) has been added to the squadron since the cruise was initially proposed. I hope this does not pose any problems for any of the ports.
The detailed schedule is as follows. Official cocktail parties will be held aboard the Folkunga Lion on the second night in any given port, except that where this falls on a Sunday, the party will be postponed until Monday, with ships' private parties in general two days later where practicable.
