Songsun SSC-60 A (production model 1941)



This is a "second line" fighter in service with squadrons of the coastal defence which are prtecting naval facilities along the korean coast( harbor etc.). It is influenced by Brewster and Grumman of the late 30ies designs and supposed to be cheap and easy to fly.

Why not?
Chosen is virtually a third world country. The Japanese had those tube sights on their Ki-43 and Ki-44 too.

Indeed, that's true. Of the designs I recently posted this would be the 'oldest' one. And as a "second line" fighter I wanted it to appear obsolete or at least not on par with the rest.
Moreover I already made an upgraded version for 1942/43 with a differnet canopy and a reflex sight and a retractable rear wheel...I would say it was mostly an asthetical decision, to make the development from the first version to the second version more obvious.
