April 9th 1935- Lt Col Radu Korne was very disappointed by the condition of the Iberian armored forces, the Iberians only now beginning to move forward into new designs for what it seemed like a decade of neglect of their armored forces. The visit to the Iberian facilities and with the deadline for the purchase of the vehicles approaching (1)Korne decided to finally cancel his trip to Atlantis. From the Embassy in Madrid he sent a message to the Skoda subsidiary in the Netherlands stating that their discussed agreement of the purchase of Lt-34 tanks plus the license and machinery to build them locally in Romania is accepted. Korne knew that the vehicles being purchased will be delivered in three batches, with the final one by the middle of next year, but what it will take a while will be to build local copies of that vehicle. Still Korne was happy by this purchase. After visiting almost every nation in Europe he now could say his nation will have a tank comparable to the newer designs in all the European nations.

(1) May 1st was the date to make decision for the purchase of vehicles. Korne decided to take the Dutch offer and get an extra month, that way delivery could be earlier in both tanks and machinery for their delivery to Romania.

April 21st 1935- It was announced today that a sister ship for the battleship currently being build in Italy will be laid down locally later in the year (1) with technical help from Ansaldo. The ship will be the largest ship ever build in Romania and tentatively have being named Regele Carol. It's expected they will be a powerful duo, upgrading the defense of our nation's coast.

May 25th 1935- King Carol in a short communique today stated that "was dismayed by the decisions taken by his cousin Umberto (1) to abdicate his throne and his somewhat harsh measures against the Fascisti movements." Still he mentioned that he considered Italy "to be a solid friend of the Romanian people, a friend we hope will stand by us as we will stand by then. We are both Latin nations and we should band together for a greater good.(2)"

(2) Funny to mention Latin roots when Carol is from German origin. Still Romania is slowly moving into the Italian orbit.

After the problems of the last decade it became obvious that the current system of government isn't working so a radical change was needed. This is currently happening, with a finalised constitution by early June, swiftly followed by Senate and Deputy elections.

June 18th 1935- This order was given in code to the units of the Romanian Army:

Units will move to preset defensive positions near the border. 1st Wave reserves will be recalled for "summer maneuvers".

Order given to air units of the Romanian Air Force:

Disperse units to secondary fields and start flying early morning mission for "training purposes."
