Tank Weapons of the Heer
The weapons mounted on Heer armored vehicles (including tanks, assault guns, self-propelled howitzers and guns, half-tracks, etc).
Machineguns
1934-
7.92mm MG33 - Standard mounted machinegun of the Heer. Fitted with a heavier barrel than the standard infantry weapon, because most vehicles have no provision to change the barrel in combat.
Autocannon
1933-
2cm KwK 30 L/55 - 20mm autocannon mounted on Heer armored cars and light tanks. Fires 20x138 mm cartridges at 900 m/s from a 10 round box magazine.
1938-
3cm KwK 37 L/56 - 30mm autocannon mounted in Heer armored cars and light tanks in place of the 2cm Kwk 30. Fires 30x184 mm cartridges at 960 m/s from a 10 round box magazine.

Low Velocity Guns
(Non-mortars with a muzzle velocity of up to 500 m/s)
1935-
7.5cm KwK 34 L/24 - 75mm howitzer mounted on early Panzer IVs and on Sturmgeshutz IIs and IIIs. Fires a 6.8 kg shell at 385 m/s.

Medium Velocity Guns
(Non-mortars with a muzzle velocity between 500 and 750 m/s)
1938-
7.5cm KwK38 L/48 - 75mm gun mounted on Panzer IVFs and later Panzer IVs and Panzer IIIHs. Fires a 6.8 kg shell at 740 m/s.
High Velocity Guns
(Non-mortars with a muzzle velocity between 750 and 1000 m/s)
1935-
5cm KwK 24 L/60 - 50mm gun mounted on Panzer IIIs. Fires a 2.06 kg shell at 835 m/s.
