On March 16th, "Yard #844" was christened Oceanic and launched with great fanfare at Harland & Wolff in Belfast. Oceanic is scheduled to be completed within a year, with her maiden voyage tentatively scheduled for April 20th, 1935. The framework of another ship, currently documented as "Yard #845" is being worked on in the adjacent gantry, and is emerging as a noticably similar, but different design. No comment from White Star or Harland & Wolff has been given regarding this ship since she was laid down a year and a half ago.
