The Farragut and Tillman class destroyers are the planned successors to the various pre-war destroyers decommissioned and now being scrapped after the USS Drayton was lost in 1927.
The Farragut is a conventional "Class B" destroyer armed with five single 5"/38 guns. (This is the historical Farragut design, 2 years early. The only change is the change to a single funnel, done purely for aesthetic reasons.)

The Tillmans are intended as leaders, with twin 5"/38 mounts. It is proposed that several be completed with a catapult and scout replacing the aft turrets. (The drawing is an "Americanized" Tribal with transitional gun houses for the 5"/.38's. Historically the 5"/38's on the US leaders were limited to single purpose only, but Springsharp doesn't seem to have a problem with making them DP.)
