Iberian Maritime Observer - 1st issue 2/6/1921
The Armada has ordered an experimenat gunboat for ASW and anti-piracy patrol ans well as developing a new drive concept: Diesel Electric! The Armada sees the potential fuel savings in the use of diesel engines for cruise, but after the experiences with the 5 screw Navarra class is looking at mounting electric cruise motors on the drive shafts. The first vessel of this class will demonstrate the diesel electric drive without the added complication of turbines.
Did someone mention "Piracy" ?!?!
Any information about the pirate-infested waters that the Bakufu should know about ?
Walter
There have been some instances of piracy around Hong Kong and Macao, the RN and the Armada are working on it. similar goes for west of Panama also for some parts of Indonesia/Malaysia (ooc: any idea which part of that area is Dutch and which isn't?)
Bernhard
Dutch possessions of the time are as per historical, plus they've gained the Nicobar Islands northwest of Sumatra. Note also that historical Burma is a part of India.
Piracy's probably an issue for India's eastern territory, but I haven't gotten around to plotting out a storyline there.
