Chinese escort cruiser

Today in Vladivostok the Chinese Ambassador in Russia ,Jhijun Lin, attended the laying down ceremony of the escort cruiser " Haijui ".
In his speech the Ambassador thanked again for the Russian participation in the cruiser advertisement and praised the balanced draft .

In view of the rapid growth of fleets on the Baltic, the Latvian government is establishing a small coastal defense force. The total tonnage envisioned for this fleet is about 30,000 tons, which will be sufficient to ensure the security of Latvian waters.
