Day thirty of the trial of Christian Anders Zahle.
After spending the previous 4 days in the witness box, the minister was obviously physically tired and mentally exhausted but still resolute. His defence team delivered their summation on the last day of the week, and the judge ordered the jury to begin their deliberations.
In a break from what is considered the normal procedure, due to the complexity and seriousness of this case, the Judge has appointed a legal expert to help the jury with any questions that may arise during the course of their discussions.
The appointee is Professor Stefan Van Holden, the most respected legal mind in Denmark. He is the Regius Professor of Laws at Københavns Universitet, and special advisor to His Majesty on matters of Constitutional Law.
