Kharkhov Kourier, 12 September 1929

Kharkhov Tractor Works announce delivery of locomotives and rolling stock for Henyang to Kunming rail line now nearing completion. Russian state railroad company RosPoezd has finished training of Chinese technical and management personnel for this line, expected to be fully operational by 15 October.

Work is also proceeding on a connection from this line to India.

Upon looking at a map Kunming is 250 km north of the Vietnamese border while Henyang (Hengyang?) is roughly 600 km north of Hong Kong.
