In 1940, and on, Latvia will be requesting foreign input for aircraft, engines, and other aircraft related object
***1940.1 - Airliners
***1940.2 - Engine
***1940.3 - Engine
1940.1 - Valsts Gaisa Satiksme is looking for airliners to supplement the DH.89's in service, and also to begin international transport. Aircraft should preferably have at least a 850 nm range, as well as seating for at least 16 passangers in non-sardine style. It is required that the aircraft have at least 2 engines, but no more than 3.
1940.2 - VEF is looking for a liquid-cooled inline engine for the upcoming VEF I-19. It is requested that the engine weigh no more than 1,600 pounds, and produce at least 1,500 hp; engines with less hp will be considered if they possess outstanding power to weight ratios. Radicals will be considered if an extreme performance advantage is present over competiting inlines (e.g., 1,900 hp, 1,500 lb)
1940.3 - LKOD is looking for a inline/radical to power the upcoming LKOD (name to be inserted here, tis the OTL Ca.355). The requests are for no more than a 1,250 lb weight, but with at least 1,100 hp. (Very vague here, as I'm not sure what would really work. RA recommended the ASh-63, but I want to see what else is available.)
