Argentine rifle cartridges
Just a note on historical issue: historically, Argentina used a 7.65 x 53mm cartridge in it's rifles and most machineguns. The Argentine Mauser icartridge became a standard in the region, being adopted by Peru and Paraguay as well.
Oohps, must have missed that in my research.
What are the adantages of the 7.65x53mm cartridge over the standard 7.62mm I'm currently using?
7.62? Your notes say 7.92 x 57mm. Anyway, the differences would be a slightly shorter cartridge, and a bit less recoil, at the cost of a bit less long-range capability (though still more than the average infantryman can use).
I meant 7.92mm, a mere typo. I might use the 7.65mm in a future rifle.
The 7.65 x 53mm is currently (in WW) in use in Peru, as historical.
