ASMAR continues work on the first three
Gualcolda-class fleet submarines, the submarine minelayer
Lautaro, and the fleet carrier
Libertad. Reconstruction continues on the cruisers
Concepción and
Guardia Marina Hyatt, as well as beginning rebuilds of the Alphabet-D class destroyer escorts. The Coast Guard orders seven 100-ton vessels from Canada for use as patrol boats or pilot boats, with the seventh vessel to be retained by the RCN as a testbed. Design teams are finishing up their work on Proyectos E, F, and G:
