Petrograd: Morskoi Sbornik - 11/20/21

A glorious day for Russian Federation Navy dawned bright and clear. Sun rose on four newly completed battleships of Imperator Petr Veliki class: Imperator Petr Veliki, Veliki Kniaz Dimitri Donskoi, Veliki Kniaz Aleksandr Nevskii, and Veliki Kniaz Yaroslav Medny These powerful ships (37,484 tons Standard, 12x15", 25 kts) had raised steam by first light, and initiated shakedown cruises. Initial destination is Russian Federation naval base at Tallin. Eventual destination is Russian Federation navy base at Murmansk, where they will join Ismail class battlecruisers in Northern Fleet. At that time, Flag of Russian Federation Navy will be transferred from battlecruiser Izmail to battleship Imperator Petr Veliki.

In related item, Petropavlovsk class battleships Petropavlovsk and Gangut have been transferred to Russian Federation navy base at Murmansk, where guns will be dismounted and secured to decks. Further preparations for voyage to Far East by Northern Sea Route after route is clear of ice will be completed there.
