Conceived as a wartime cargo aircraft the Bristol Freighter did not emerge until the immediate postwar period. Rejected by the Royal Air Force is won a long career in both the civil and military markets abroad as a cavernous transporter. It is probably best known for its operation as a cross-Channel car ferry.
In many respects there is nothing much to prevent the appearance of the type in WW at this point - except perhaps perceived need. The OTL RAF never really found a place for the Freighter as its legs were a bit on the short side, but with far more colonial territory to control at this point, that might not be a probem in WW.
