Australian News 1942

July 1st

With the demise of the SATSUMA alliance, the Australian government has announced its intentions to no longer be a part of the SEAR pact as of January 1st 1943.

Rumors have it that discussions are underway with the Netherlands to replace SEAR with a bilateral security agreement.

In other news, fishermen have begun protesting that the government do something against French fishermen encroaching on Australian waters, and have blamed said fishermen for a decrease in the annual haul.
