Regina Elana rebuildt

What do people think of her now? She is faster than most capital ships and out guns and out armours any cruiser.(haven't i heard that before?)

Lots of guns, and inexpensive, too.

The speed is a worry though, for a heavy cruiser.

But still, you're getting a good deal more than you're paying for, in factory production.

Aso let's not forget that she has that old-fashioned gun arrangement which obnly gives her a braodside of 8 guns and not twelve. I think she makes a great station flagship but has no business close to real fleet actions.

I definitely would add 100-150 tons for flag facilities.

cheers

If Nordmark had had the ability to do such a rebuild, the resulting vessel would probably have been tasked with coastal defence - such a unit would have been a valuable scouting-element for the coast-defence units, as well as be just as able to stand in any line as any but the newest coast-defence vessels. As it happens, Nordmark does not have this possibility - while a few of the obsolete vessels would have had low enough displacement, they retained capital ship guns until after the signature of the Cleito Treaty. Ordnance-officers are now planning to have fun with the hulls and a few tons of cordite....

hmmm

Atlantis also has a bunch of protected cruisers to get rid of, perhaps in a billy michell style undertaking?

TDS experiments anyone?

Russia's going to experiment with various schemes for underwater protection. So its sub, destroyer, corvette, and MTB crews who will get all the fun.
