Main Belt covers 111 % of normal length

- Gun armour: Face (max) Other gunhouse (avg) Barbette/hoist (max)
Main: 2.95" / 75 mm 0.79" / 20 mm 1.97" / 50 mm
2nd: 0.79" / 20 mm - -

Miscellaneous weights: 100 tons, 1.5 %

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
6,000 lbs / 2,721 Kg = 56.0 x 6.0 " / 152 mm shells or 1.1 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.16
Metacentric height 2.3 ft / 0.7 m
Roll period: 13.7 seconds
Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 70 %
- Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.60
Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.21

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has rise forward of midbreak
and transom stern
Block coefficient: 0.482
Length to Beam Ratio: 11.13 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 26.55 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 56 %
Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 58
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 30.00 degrees
Stern overhang: 4.92 ft / 1.50 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
- Stem: 22.97 ft / 7.00 m
- Forecastle (18 %): 21.00 ft / 6.40 m
- Mid (62 %): 21.00 ft / 6.40 m (12.80 ft / 3.90 m aft of break)
- Quarterdeck (18 %): 12.80 ft / 3.90 m
- Stern: 12.80 ft / 3.90 m
- Average freeboard: 18.02 ft / 5.49 m
Ship tends to be wet forward

Ship space, strength and comments:
Space - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 108.8 %
- Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 129.4 %
Waterplane Area: 18,374 Square feet or 1,707 Square metres
Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 109 %
Structure weight / hull surface area: 72 lbs/sq ft or 350 Kg/sq metre
Hull strength (Relative):
- Cross-sectional: 0.77
- Longitudinal: 1.23
- Overall: 0.81
Caution: Hull subject to strain in open-sea
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is adequate
Room for accommodation and workspaces is excellent
Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform
Good seaboat, rides out heavy weather easily

not a bad Idea

Aside from the usual gripe about the quantity of AA...
;-)

What about 4x2 152mm guns instead? And less deck armour.

I'd personally stick with the current main armament layout. More deckspace and 1 more gun to boot.

18 - 2.24" (6x3 guns) seems a tad bit too much though for a 6000 ton CL, those 23.6" torpedoes will take up lots of space.

The Iberian (aka Bernhard's) idea of the 57mm guns as a dual purpose weapon, good against MTB's as well as Aircraft,
so i don't think 18 single shot weapons is too much.

Maybe, but the triple seems to be an Iberian thing like the 57mm, and I need to keep a few "points of difference" between my Danish and Iberian designs

I have an Idea as to how to get around that!
