1937 is mainly a year of cruisers for Nordmark, as the Admiralty strives to modernise this arm of the Navy.
First comes the Victoriahamn Class CL's, a new larger more capable design.
While a dedicated AA cruiser was considered, it was rejected as too dedicated, thus this design is equipped to deal with a reasonably heavy AA armament.
