Quoted

20/24 factories producing materiel for shipbuilding = 24,000 tons + 8,426 t surplus + 2,011 t scrap = 30,437 t

I'm certain that this is a copy/paste error, as the math is right for production of 20,000 vice 24,000 tons.

It's nice to see the Iberians coming along in their fleet train.

Indeed, the fleet train needed a lot of work, and still isn't done.

The amphib force is also a work in progress. I'm aiming for capability to land three brigades, and I may be borrowing the Bharati's strategic sealift idea at some point.

You're right, it is a copy/paste error.

If you are considering the possibilities for amphibious forces, converting merchantmen as APAs can be a cost effective alternative to a lot of specialized sealift. It is the route Germany chose to take, with mercantile conversions for troop transport and specialist ships for heavy equipment.

Would you like a demonstration of the Kriegsmarine's pontoon system? :?:

I figure there'll be a run of purpose-built, commercial grade ships for the attack transports.

Haven't quite figured out the strategic sealift part of the equation.

A demo of the pontoons could be interesting and useful for Iberia.
