This sounds as if it will prove most interesting.
If he survives, I predict that Lieutenant MacDonald will have a brilliant career in the Irish Army.
Thanks! Hope it turns out as fun and as interesting as you say...
A defector? Interesting development; and the possibility of a plant is not impossible. I am certain that the future of the campaign will hinge on whether he speaks the truth or not.
Looking forward to the next installment.
A defector of sorts, yes. After the end of the Persian Civil War, the victors put together a clemency offer for the defeated Nationalists. In the aftermath of the Battle of the Farah Highway, there's probably a few more Persian Nationalists who want to take advantage of the offer: "Forget this! I don't want to end up rotting in a ditch to be buried by infidels! I'm going home."
"Hyde, Robert Hyde"....foreshadowing the soon-to-be-great Irish spy?
Er, no

What a great idea!
Oh, this sounds as though digging the foe out of his canyons will not be easy, and likely costly.
A twin-engined high-level reconnaissance aircraft? What is the Irish Air Corps flying now?
"Our intrepid heroes have safely made their way into the valley; whether their airplane will ever fly again remains to be seen."
Interesting. I am certain that there is a Plan B. And I certainly look forward to their future adventures.

Will Hyde have to abandon Patches?
Or will he fight the Persians to the last to save his beloved plane?
Tune in next week folks!!
Keep it up Brock, I'm enjoying this!
Thanks, Mac! Glad you're still reading it.

Nice work Brock, keep it up.

Whatsamatta U?
Hmm. These are most interesting developments. It will prove interesting to see how this is accomplished.
This should be very interesting. Sounds like it's a rough road ahead for MacDonald and his bunch.

At this point, I suspect most Irishmen would compose some sort of ditty to the tune of "Rocky Road to Dublin."
"Better to send five Lions than five hundred sheep."
And they want a few Breire Guns? Interesting request. Negotiations must be progressing.
